In expected but horrible news this week, the US Senate passed the Patriot Act extension by a disgustingly large margin, with only 4 Senators voting 'no' ... while in other news, a poll of US troops fighting in Iraq reveals that they want OUT NOW ... while the Pentagon admits Iraq's indigenous troops can't fight independently and Seven are arrested in anti-war protest (for supporting the troops, who want to come HOME.)

Getting ready for this years elections? Warren Stewart asks 'Do you know how your vote will be counted?' Worried about privacy? Business Week Online's Olga Khariff gives some privacy tips in 'Big Brother is reading your blog'. Several good First Amendment commentaries this week, Free speech quagmire, and Celebrity castigations.
